Heartland Plays, Inc. welcomes unsolicited plays, particularly from playwrights living outside New York and LA. We are committed to supporting the awareness and production of quality plays and musicals by new and emerging playwrights working throughout America’s Heartland. Please follow these submission guidelines as written.

Submission Process

  • Use the Submission Upload Form to submit your files
  • Musicals must include at minimum a recording of the music along with lyric sheets.
  • Include a short play synopsis, production history, if any, and a brief bio.
  • Do not expect a reply on acceptance of your submission in less than 8 weeks.
